YAYI LIBERATORS FLAG OFF 2027 CAMPAIGN IN ADO-ODO/OTA: THOUSANDS DECLARE SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, YAYI, OJUGBELE, LARRYBASH AND OLUNDEGUN





 The political atmosphere in Ogun State shifted on Sunday, August 30, 2026 as Yayi Liberator Political Movement, a grassroots movement based in Ogun State, officially flagged off its campaign for the 2027 general elections. 


The event which held at the headquarters of the movement in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government witnessed a massive turnout of thousands of members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC.


The movement used the occasion to make a full declaration of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, and also drum support for the party’s candidates in Ogun West and Ado-Odo/Ota. 


Those endorsed by the movement include Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan, Yayi for Ogun state Governorship, Hon. Jimoh Olusola Ojugbele as the APC Ogun West Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Taofiq Olanrewaju Bashorun “Larrybash” for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, and Hon. Abayomi Okikiola Olundegun for Ado-Odo/Ota State Constituency 1.



Dignitaries at the event included Hon. Abayomi Okikiola Olundegun, Hon. Musedeeq Asalu, Councillor representing Otta Ward 2, while Hon. Razaq Sotayo who could not attend due to his busy schedule sent a representative.


Speaking at the event, Hon. Abayomi Okikiola Olundegun emphasized the need for Nigerians to sustain the bold reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said the Renewed Hope Agenda must be consolidated beyond 2027 for Nigeria to reap its full benefits.


In his address, Hon. Okikiola Olundegun urged all party faithful to rally round Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan, Yayi to ensure victory at the polls next year.  

“It is the turn of Ogun West to produce the governor of Ogun State after 50 years of marginalization. This is our time. We must rally round our own. Go back to your polling booths and win them. That is how dividends of democracy will come to us,” he charged.


Also speaking, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako, Director General of Yayi Liberators Movement, appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for giving Ogun West the opportunity to produce the governor of the state for the first time in 50 years of the state’s existence.  

He assured the crowd that Senator Yayi has a proven track record of delivering dividends of democracy to the people he represents, and that same commitment to service will continue and expand across Ogun State if elected.  

“Yayi has delivered in the Senate. He has delivered projects, empowerment and infrastructure. Ogun West can trust him to deliver as governor,” Olumakoi said.


The highlight of the event was the distribution of gift items to all attendees, which further charged the atmosphere as members chanted solidarity songs for Tinubu, Yayi, Ojugbele, Larrybash and Olundegun.


With this flag-off, Yayi Liberators Movement has signaled that Ado-Odo/Ota will lead the charge for APC victory in 2027 and will not compromise on the Ogun West mandate.
