YAYI LIBERATOR DG OLUMAKO CONDOLES WITH SENATOR YAYI OVER THE PASSING OF ELDER CHIEF MICHAEL ADELANI OGUNDIMU, BABA YAYI

Describes Him As The Root, The Backbone And The Moral Compass Of The Adeola Dynasty

ILARO, OGUN STATE — The Director General of Yayi Liberator in Ogun State, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako, has expressed profound grief over the passing of Elder Chief Michael Adelani Ogundimu, fondly called Baba Yayi, uncle and revered family head of Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan, YAYI.

Baba Yayi, 85, passed on in the early hours of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, after a brief illness.

Until his death, he was the Family Head of Onibata Family in Ago Isaga Compound, Pahayi Yewa - Ilaro. He was also the Akinrogun of Pahayi Yewa and a former Councillor of Ilaro Ward 1.

In a condolence message to Senator Yayi, Comrade Olumako said the death of Baba Yayi is a monumental loss not only to the Adeola family but to the entire Ogun West and Yayi political family.

"Your Excellency, this is a very painful loss. Baba Yayi was more than an uncle. He was the root of your house, the backbone of Onibata family, and the moral compass that guided the Adeola dynasty.

He raised men of honour. He nurtured a leader that today gives hope to millions. The values of service, humility and courage that you, Senator Yayi, exhibit today were first taught and lived by Baba Yayi," Olumako stated.

The Yayi Liberator DG noted that Baba Yayi lived a life of service. As Akinrogun of Pahayi Yewa and former Councillor of Ilaro Ward 1, he stood for truth, fairness and community development.

"Baba Yayi’s exit has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill. But we are comforted by the fact that he lived well, he served well, and he left behind worthy children, the most prominent of whom is you, Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan, who is today a pride to Pahayi Yewa and Ogun West," he added.

On behalf of the entire Yayi Liberator structure across Ogun State, Comrade Olumako prayed for the repose of Baba Yayi’s soul and for God to grant Senator Yayi, the Adeola family, the Onibata family and the people of Pahayi Yewa the strength to bear the loss.

"We pray that Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy grant Baba Yayi Aljanah Firdaus. And to you, our leader, Senator Yayi, we pray God gives you the fortitude to bear this loss. May his legacies of integrity and service continue to guide us all," Olumako concluded.
