Amotekun Corps Arrest Father For Defiling Own Daughter In Onibuku Ota.


 


Men of the Amotekun corps in Ogun state have arrested a man, Kayode Ogunkunle who resides at number 12, Unique street, off Baba Ode road, onibuku ota for defiling his own daughter. The suspect who was arrested on Friday 15th of April 2022 Around Sango Ota in Ogun state after a journalist informed the Ado Odo Ota local government coordinator for Amotekun corps about the incident. 


According to the victim who narrated her ordeal In the hands of her biological father explained that her father started sleeping with her since 2016 when she was just 14 and that the act has continued until now. 


According to the victim who is now 19, she explained that in 2016 when his father started molesting her, he always threatened that he would kill her anyday she dare expose what was happening to anyone but she could not bare it and had to open up to her mum in 2017. 


The victim further explained that her mum wanted to report the case to the police station but was stopped by her family not to expose the issue as it can be resolved within the family. A meeting between both families was organized where my dad openly admitted that he committed the offense and blamed the devil for such act while promising never to molest me again. 


Unfortunately after the settlement, my dad continued molesting me  and didn't feel any remourse for forcefully sleeping with her own daughter.


Furthermore,the victim explained that In 2019, the mother reported the case to Onipanu ota police station where a test was conducted on the victim at the state hospital Ota and it was confirmed that the victim was truly defiled while the father confessed comitting the crime but the police didn't take any step further to charge the case to court but instead, they granted bail to the accused.

 

And At that point, the lady tried committing suicide by taking a poisonous substance but was rescued by neighbours who rushed her to the hospital when they noticed she was in severe pain. 


The matter came to the open when a good Samaritan who heard about the act reported the case to a journalist who then invited the victim and her mother for questioning before the case was reported to Amotekun corps. The case has been transferred to Abeokuta and the suspect has made confessional statement once again admitting guilt. 


The suspect has also been accused by another woman who is also a friend of the mother of victim that the suspect tried to rape her in march 2022 when she visited the family. Also, a friend of the victim also alleged that the suspect has on several occasion molested her.
