OGUN STATE COALITION OF CIVIL SOCIETIES COMMENDS OGUN STATE POLICE COMMAND



The Ogun state coalition of civil societies, a prodemocracy and Human Rights group has commended Ogun state police command under the leadership of CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun for its proactiveness and promptness in responding to distress calls.


The group passed the commendation in an official letter dated 14thof May 2021, signed by comrades Yinka Folarin and Olaonipekun Bisi, the Chairman and Ag. Secretary respectively. The commendation, according to the group is based on timely rescue of many kidnap victims and subsequent arrest of many of the kidnappers across the State.


The group in the letter said “In line with one of the resolutions passed at the coalition’s monthly meeting held Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the NLC conference Hall Leme Abeokuta, Ogun State. The coalition after critical analysis and examination of the state of security, combative measures, and approach by the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command considered it noteworthy to inform your Commissioner of police that the many timely rescues of Kidnap victims, the command’s rapid response to Armed Robbery cases, Rape incidents among many other pervading heinous societal crimes and Arrest of suspects are not unnoticed. The coalition by a resolution did commend your Commissioner of police and the entire management team for the good work and proactiveness even with limited resources”


The group, therefore, promised to foster partnership with the Command towards sustainable peace, protection of Human rights and a secured Ogun State for all and sundry.
