Democracy Day is a reminder that power truly belongs to the people and in Ogun State, the people have spoken through visionary leadership and through a mandate sealed for an indigenous son of Ogun West.
Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako commends His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to democratic ideals and for laying a solid foundation of infrastructure, education, health and youth empowerment across the three senatorial districts. Under your leadership, Governor, democracy has moved from rhetoric to results, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako stated. The roads, schools and health facilities standing across Ogun State today are proof that good governance is possible when leaders listen to the people. Ogun people appreciate the sacrifice and the service.
Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako also celebrates Distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, the incoming governor of Ogun State, for his consistency, loyalty and track record of impact that cut across Ogun West, Ogun Central and Ogun East. Democracy Day is special this year because it marks the journey toward handing over power to a builder with a tested record, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako said. Senator Yayi represents the next chapter of democratic dividends for Ogun State. His commitment to human capital development, youth empowerment and inclusive growth is why the people chose him and why May 29, 2027 is already a date of hope.
Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako urges all Ogun State residents to continue to protect democratic values by participating actively, protecting their PVC and rejecting politics of division, propaganda and gambling with our future. Democracy thrives when the people remain vigilant and when leaders remain accountable, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako stated. Ogun State is a pacesetter and on this Democracy Day, Yayi Liberator pledges to defend the mandate of the people and to ensure that the transition from the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun to the administration of Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan Yayi is smooth, peaceful and people-centered.
