KTO DEBUNKS CONSENSUS RUMOUR, SAYS APC LEADERS YET TO DECIDE IN ADO-ODO/OTA

Warns voters against desperate politicians, insists party constitution on consensus is clear

Ota, Ogun State — Monday, 4 May 2026

Leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, *Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola, popularly known as _KTO*_, has strongly debunked rumours circulating on social media that leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Odo/Ota have concluded and released names of consensus candidates.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, KTO described the viral list as fake, misleading, and the handiwork of desperate politicians seeking to create unnecessary tension within the party. He maintained that APC leaders in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government are yet to take any decision on consensus for the House of Representatives ticket.

KTO warned voters and party members to be wary of politicians who peddle lies to gain undue advantage. “Any politician who manufactures falsehood to deceive the people and heat up the polity is not worth voting for,” he said. “Our people deserve the truth, not propaganda.”

The frontline aspirant urged his teeming supporters across Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency to remain calm and law-abiding. He expressed confidence in the internal democratic process of the APC and assured that he would emerge victorious when delegates and party members decide.

Addressing the party’s position on consensus, KTO noted that the APC constitution is unambiguous. “Consensus can only happen when all aspirants are consulted and agree. You cannot impose a consensus in the bedroom and expect aspirants and members to accept it,” he stated.

He distanced himself entirely from any so-called consensus list, insisting that he was never part of such arrangement and would not be bound by it. According to him, the race for the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency ticket remains open, and every qualified aspirant should be allowed to test their popularity.

KTO reaffirmed his commitment to issue-based campaigns and grassroots engagement. He called on party leaders to protect the integrity of the process and ensure a level playing field for all aspirants in the interest of APC’s victory in 2027.

As the primaries draw closer, KTO’s message is clear: ignore the rumours, trust the process, and let the people decide.
