THE YAYI TSUNAMI: Ogun State Politics Set for a Paradigm Shift as Yayi Liberator Movement Gains Momentum
In a significant milestone for the Yayi Liberator movement, two new units were inaugurated on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in the Ogun Central senatorial district. The ceremony, which took place in Ojere/Obafemi Owode and Odeda/Okudu, was attended by a large gathering of supporters and stakeholders.
The event commenced with a courtesy visit to the Baale of the community, who expressed his profound gratitude to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola for his instrumental role in reconstructing a major road in the area. The Baale's praise for Senator Adeola is particularly noteworthy, given the senator's unwavering commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.
As a senator representing Ogun West, Adeola's dedication to development projects in other districts, including Ogun Central, underscores his tireless efforts to promote the state's overall growth and prosperity.
The Ogun State Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics, who was also in attendance, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the construction of the road. He recounted his personal experience of selling his land in the area due to the road's deplorable condition, which would often flood during the rainy season. The chairman praised Senator Yayi for transforming the area and requested his assistance in building the association's secretariat, for which an official letter had already been sent.
In a gesture of goodwill, the chairman promised the association's unwavering support for Senator Yayi's gubernatorial ambition in 2027.
Five Community Development Associations (CDAs) - Agbena, Adejo, Sunshine Better Life, and Better Future CDA - also wrote a letter of appreciation to Senator Yayi for his role in constructing the road, which had previously been a death trap in the area. This heartfelt gesture underscores the profound impact of Senator Yayi's initiatives on the community.
Furthermore, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) expressed their gratitude to Senator Yayi for the road construction, which benefits their office located in the area. They requested the senator's assistance in completing their office building, currently under construction, to enhance security in the area.
Speaking on behalf of Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, the convener of Yayi Liberator, Comrade Ibrahim Fayomi Olumako, thanked the people of the area for showing appreciation for the senator's efforts. Olumako likened the senator's past achievements to a fan, promising that the people will soon experience the full benefits of Yayi's developmental infrastructure, akin to an air conditioner.
Olumako described Yayi as an indispensable ingredient, like salt in cooking, emphasizing the senator's integrity and commitment to transparency. He assured the people that Yayi will never compromise his values to gain power. Olumako urged the people to support their son to become the next governor of Ogun State, as it is the turn of Yewa to become governor in 2027, and Senator Yayi is the people's choice without opposition from any quarters.
The Yayi Liberator movement's expansion into Ogun Central senatorial district and the recognition of Senator Adeola's contributions to the area's development may indicate a strong foundation for his potential gubernatorial campaign in 2027. As the movement continues to gain momentum, Senator Yayi's opposition in Ogun State would do well to take note of the growing support for his governorship ambition.
