Constituents Rejects #200,000 Greek Gift Hon Jimoh Ojugbele Listed As Achievement.
As preparations are in top gear for the 2023 general elections, some greedy politicians are becoming more desperate in bid to peddle lies all in the name of good performance. Some of this politicians are going to the extent of listing rejected gifts as part of their achievement in office. One of this deceitful act came to the limelight when Hon Jimoh Ojugbele listed giving some youths a sum of #200,000 as one of his giant stride achievements for the twelve years already spent at the green chambers.
Reacting to the development, some of the concerned youths having noticed the prank of the honourable immediately explained that the money in question was never accepted at any point in time.
It is true Jimoh Ojugbele sent in the sum of #200,000 during the fix Ota road protest but the money was immediately rejected. We placed a call to him to let him know that we don't need the money and that he should send his account details so we can send the money back to him which he pleaded with the group not to return the money as he acknowledged that the money was not asked for by the group and that it was a voluntary donation by him. On the phone that same day, Ojugbele accepted that he failed in his responsibilities to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituent and that his plea to the minister of works and housing for the rehabilitation of Ota/Idiroko road fell on deaf ears.
After listening to his explanations, the group was not convinced but because of his refusal to send his account details so as to return the money, we agreed that the money remain unspent and for the past two years, we didn't touch the money not until recently when we heard that he listed it as part of his achievements.
We want the general public to know that we've returned the money in question as we never accepted it in the first place and the money stands rejected.
Further checks revealed that the money was truly returned back to Hon Jimoh Ojugbele as our crew got the receipt of the transaction.
