Ijebu Ode Bank Closure: Police Release Powerful Statement.

  The Ogun state police command has noticed with dismay, the unwarranted closure of Banks and Financial institutions in Ijebu ode and its environs over an alleged robbery threat.  The command is appalled at this unprofessional behavior of bankers in that axis despite continuous assurance of their safety by the police and other security agencies.  Their recent action can only be described as treacherous and mischievous, because they are not the only bankers we have in the state and the country in general, yet they are the ones complaining of robbery threat every now and then.  The command has noticed that once they are bent on this mischief, they closed their minds and eyes to other security arrangements the police in conjunction with other security agencies have on ground to protect them.  They claimed armed robbers wrote to inform them that they are coming to attack them, but they will not make the purported letter available to the police for investigation and possible apprehension of

52-YearOld Man Arrested For Impregnating And Procuring Abortions For His 16 Year Old Niece.

A 52 years old man, Jimoh Mutaliu was on Tuesday 21st of September 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command for unlawfully impregnating and procuring abortions for his 16 years old niece (namewithheld). The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Adatan divisional headquarters by the victim's father, who reported that he discovered that his 16 years old daughter has been impregnated, and on an enquiry, it was discovered that his own brother who is also an uncle to the girl is responsible for the pregnancy. A 39 years old man, Oladapo Akinola was on Monday 20th of September 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command for defiling his 5 years old stepdaughter (namewithheld). The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Adigbe divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim, who reported that while bathing her daughter, she discovered blood in her private part, and on enquiry from the girl, she was informed that her husband who happened to be the stepdaughter of the victim has unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her.  Upon the report, the Dpo Adigbe division, SP Fatoberu Oyekanmi quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.  On interrogation, the suspect, who reside at Adewale Drive, Shokori Abeokuta confessed to the crime without any justifiable reason.  The victim has been taken to hospital by the police for medical treatment and report .   A 45 years old man, Olaoluwa Jimoh was on the 16th of September 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command for impregnating his own biological daughter (name withheld). The randy father with uncontrollable libido was arrested following a complaint lodged at Ode Remo divisional headquarters by the victim, who reported that she has been living with her father for the past two years, but sometime in June 2021, her father forcefully had sex with her. She stated further that since then, she has been raped severally by her father who always threatened to kill her if she dare informed anybody.  The 19 years old victim informed the police that her mother has separated from the father long time ago, and that she has been living with her mother until about two years ago when the suspect asked her to come and be living with him. School Resumption: Honorable Sheriff Yusuf Distributes Free Exercise Books To Public School Students In Ota.

  The majority leader, Ogun state house of assembly, honorable Sheriff Yusuf (Ibeman) has unveiled plans to distribute free exercise books to students of his constituents, Ado Odo state constituency 1 as part of his renewed efforts to compliment the effort of parents who are having difficult times in sending their wards to school most especially as students resumed back to school.  The legislator who is very passionate about young children's education, about two years ago, acquired 4 busses for the purpose of conveying public school children in Ota to school free of charge. The buses till now are still running perfectly and was also recently rebranded. Police Arrest Ex Convict For Impersonation.

  An ex convict, Segun Ogundeji has been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for impersonation. The suspect was arrested on the 8th of September 2021, at about 7:30 pm. when he came to Sango ota divisional headquarters fully dressed in army camouflage uniform to solicit for the release of a suspect. On getting to the station, he met another Air Force man, one Cpl John Temitope who accused the suspect of failure to give him official compliment, as a result of which quarrel ensued between them. It was the quarrel that led the DPO Sango CSP Godwin Idehai, to interrogate them. It was during the interrogation that the police discovered that Segun Ogundeji is not a military man. It was also discovered that he has once been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction for impersonation.   Residents of Ilogbo Ota in Ado Odo local government, Ogun state have cried out as transport fare from Oju Ore to Ilogbo Ota is now above #1,000. A radio program, Igba Owuro on Hebron 95.9FM which was monitored by Daily Advocate online news correspondent earlier today, callers on who called in on the program lamented the sudden increase in transport fare from Oju Ore to Ilogbo which normally cost from #200 to #300 now cost a thousand naira and above.  Further checks on the sudden increase in fare revealed that the bad state of the road contributed largely to the increase.  Some commercial drivers who spoke with our correspondent revealed that the cost of maintaining their vehicles because of the bad road is outrageous and so have no choice than to increase the fare. Three Arrested For Diverting Company's Good Worth 4 Million Naira.

  Men of Ogun state police command have arrested three suspects in connection with the diversion of goods valued at 4.7 million naira belonging to Hayat Kimya Company.  The suspects Oluwaseyi  Oyetunde, Segun Oluwaseun and Chijoke Ogbu were arrested following a report made at Agbara divisional headquarters on the 29th of August 2021, by one Oluwatosin Ayodeji who reported that Oluwaseyi Oyetunde a driver to the company loaded goods worth of 4.7 million naira to be delivered to a customer in Lagos, but since on the 24th of August 2021,the said driver has absconded with the goods and the truck.  Upon the report, the Dpo Agbara division, SP Saleh Dahiru detailed his crack detectives to unravel the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of the driver and the goods.  The team embarked on intelligence based investigation and traced the driver and the truck to Lagos state where he was promptly arrested with the empty truck.  On interrogation, the driver confessed that he diverted the goods t

  Residents of Ado Odo Ota local government trooped out in large numbers to protest the bad state of roads in Ado Odo Ota local government yesterday Monday 6th September 2021. The protest which started at the popular Osi round about at about 7am moved to Sango Ota under bridge before moving to Oju Ore where the local government chairman Sheriff Musa later addressed the protesters.  The protesters who are not happy with the Federal and state government over the deliberate neglect of roads in Ota accused governor Dapo Abiodun of bias in execution of road project in Ogun state.  According to some protesters who spoke with The Daily Advocate Online News, claimed the state government was working in other parts of the state in a very fast pace while giving excuses of paucity of funds in executing projects in Ota where the IGR of the state is coming from.  The protesters also accused the minister of works, Babatunde Fashola of deliberately looking away despite public outcry on the state of ro

Don't Drag My Name In The Mud, Awoniyi Tells Baba Ode Community.

  Supol Awoniyi has cried out over attempt to drag his name into the mud over allegations he knows nothing about.  According to him, he alleged that landlords in Baba Ode community in Ado Odo local government deliberately dragged his name on a popular radio program on Saturday 4th  September 2021 that he was part of those disturbing the community.  While explaining the true situation of things, supol Awoniyi explained that there was a land grabbing case sometime ago which he was assigned to look into the case which he did accordingly without bias.
