2023 Election: Ibrahim Fayomi Olumaco, Champions Ogun West OlumacoWest2West Campaign, Drums Support For Senator Adeola Yayi.

 




As the 2023 general elections draws nearer, the political calculations in Ogun state has began while political supporters  are already rolling the drums of support for their preferred candidates. 


One of such support is the unveiling of the Ogun West2West agenda which is been sponsored by Ibrahim Fayomi popularly known as Olumaco. The Ogun West2West agenda is a political movement which is formulated to give a staunch support to Senator Adeola Olamilekan who is popularly known as Yayi.


While addressing pressmen at the official unveiling of the movement, Olumaco stated that the developmental stride which Senator Olamilekan Yayi brought to Lagos west senatorial district is supposed to be enjoyed in Ogun west senatorial district which Yayi is also a stakeholder  and son of the soil. 

Olumaco further stated that as a strong supporter of the lawmaker, he believes there is no other candidate that can match the achievement of senator Yayi in Ogun west senatorial district and as such there is need to give full support to him. 


Explaining the reason behind the slogan West2west, Olumaco said, you know our senator, the man of the people is currently representing Lagos west senatorial district, we've seen the wave of development he brought to the people in Lagos west, we also want such in Ogun west which is his original home. He is coming from Lagos west and now, we need him in Ogun west. If you look at it, you will see it is a west to west thing. That is where the West2West movement is coming from and by the special grace of God, we will achieve it come 2023. 

Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi was born on August 10 1969 To Mr Ayinde Adeola Ogunleye and Madam Abeni Olasunbo (nee Akionla). Senator Adeola Solomon Yayi was a former member, Lagos state house of assembly where he represented Alimosho state constituency 2 From 2003 to 2007 and again from 2007 to 2011. 


Adeola was reputed to have been instrumental to the enactment of the law that strengthened the Lagos state internal revenue service, a legislation that catapulted the revenue of the state from N5 billion Naira monthly to over N20 billion Naira. He was also part of the team that passed the Fiscal Responsibility act and the procurement act of Lagos state. 


Adeola was elected to the Federal Legislature to represent Alimosho Federal Constituency at the Nigerian House Of Representatives in 2011. 


Adeola moved to the Red  Chambers on June 6 2011 as the senator representing Lagos west senatorial district. 

He is currently the chairman, senate committee on finance and the Cornerstone of the senate.
