Kidnapping: Ogun Business Woman , 3 Children Regains Freedom After Days In Captivity.

  A businesswoman, Funmilola Eniola Oyewale and her 3 children, Oyewale Ayodeji Samuel, 12 years old, Oyewale Oreoluwa Racheal, 7years old and Oyewale Ezekiel Okikola, 4 years old, who were abducted on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 by gunmen in Atan community, Ota district in Ado Odo Ota local government, Ogun State, has regained their freedom after payment of N55m ransom. The husband, Ayokunle Oyewale told our correspondent on Tuesday, 24th of August, 2023 that the kidnappers demanded a N100m ransom but later reduced it to N55m. A senior member of the family also confirmed that the husband later negotiated with the kidnappers and paid N55m to secure the release of his wife and 3 children who were earlier kidnapped on Sunday night at the entrance of their residence while returning from an outing. Political thugs on rampage Mayowa Olulana, Lagos Nigeria. It was reported on 25th of February that a labour party agent was attacked while performing his agency duties in Lagos. The scene suddenly became that of a planned attack after a man named Adedube Bankole Adebayo of number 6 Uncle Easy street,Agodi LASTMA, Off Odongunyan Ikorodu Lagos on 25th February 2023 was assaulted at the election polling booth where he served as Labour party agent in Lagos. According to him, the assault matter got sparked when he refuses to allow the thugs positioned to the polling unit alter election results numbers while it seems their political parties were losing out to the Candidates of Labour party which Bankole represented at the poling unit. 33 Year Old Woman Arrested For Selling Her Baby To Pay Off Loan In Ogun.

  A 33 years old woman Olaide Adekunle has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for selling her 18 months old baby at the rate of #600,000 to yet to be identified buyer. The suspect was arrested following a complain lodged at Sango divisional headquarters by the woman's husband, one Nureni Rasaq, who reported that his wife, Olaide Adekunle, left home to Lagos on the 15th of March 2023 with their baby girl by name Moridiat Rasaq, but returned home without the baby.  He stated further that all efforts to know what happened to the baby proved abortive as the woman was unable to give any reasonable account of whereabout of the said baby.  Upon the report, the DPO Sango division, CSP Dahiru Saleh, detailed his detectives to go after the said woman, and she was promptly arrested.  On interrogation, the suspect confessed that she has sold the baby to someone in Lagos at the rate of six hundred thousand naira (#600,000). Ogun Police Repels Armed Robbery Gang Who Invaded Phone Market, Arrests One.

  Men of Ogun state Police Command on Wednesday 12th of April 2023, successfully repelled armed robbery gang who invaded the popular phone market in Okelewo area of Abeokuta.  The armed robbery gang numbering about eight, stormed the market popularly known as "TARMARC" at about 5:30 p.m, started shooting sporadically and cartering away expensive phones.  Distress call was quickly made to the police at Ibara divisional headquarters, consequence upon which the DPO Ibara division, CSP Abayomi Adeniji quickly mobilized his anti robbery and surveillance teams in collaboration with men of Amotekun corps and moved to the scene.  On sighting the policemen, the robbers engaged them in gun battle, but due to the superior fire power of the policemen, the hoodlums took to their heels.  They were hotly chased and with the assistance of the market men, one of the robbers later identified as Adeniji Sakiru 32 years old was apprehended. ELECTION VIOLENCE ROCKS LAGOS AS THUGS INVADE POLLING UNIT, CHASE AWAY VOTERS AND PARTY AGENTS.

Thugs invaded the Adejare Polling Unit in Ilasa, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, on March 18, 2023, disrupting the governorship and state assembly election. The attackers, suspected to be affiliated with the opposition party, wielded daggers and sharp objects, forcing voters to flee. According to Arome Solomon, an eyewitness, INEC officials were nowhere to be found as of 10:12 am, only few policemen were on ground leaving voters stranded and vulnerable to the thugs. "Policemen on ground were few. The people have all run away and are not willing to return, even the policemen too run away" he added.
