33 Year Old Woman Arrested For Selling Her Baby To Pay Off Loan In Ogun.

  A 33 years old woman Olaide Adekunle has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for selling her 18 months old baby at the rate of #600,000 to yet to be identified buyer. The suspect was arrested following a complain lodged at Sango divisional headquarters by the woman's husband, one Nureni Rasaq, who reported that his wife, Olaide Adekunle, left home to Lagos on the 15th of March 2023 with their baby girl by name Moridiat Rasaq, but returned home without the baby.  He stated further that all efforts to know what happened to the baby proved abortive as the woman was unable to give any reasonable account of whereabout of the said baby.  Upon the report, the DPO Sango division, CSP Dahiru Saleh, detailed his detectives to go after the said woman, and she was promptly arrested.  On interrogation, the suspect confessed that she has sold the baby to someone in Lagos at the rate of six hundred thousand naira (#600,000). Ogun Police Repels Armed Robbery Gang Who Invaded Phone Market, Arrests One.

  Men of Ogun state Police Command on Wednesday 12th of April 2023, successfully repelled armed robbery gang who invaded the popular phone market in Okelewo area of Abeokuta.  The armed robbery gang numbering about eight, stormed the market popularly known as "TARMARC" at about 5:30 p.m, started shooting sporadically and cartering away expensive phones.  Distress call was quickly made to the police at Ibara divisional headquarters, consequence upon which the DPO Ibara division, CSP Abayomi Adeniji quickly mobilized his anti robbery and surveillance teams in collaboration with men of Amotekun corps and moved to the scene.  On sighting the policemen, the robbers engaged them in gun battle, but due to the superior fire power of the policemen, the hoodlums took to their heels.  They were hotly chased and with the assistance of the market men, one of the robbers later identified as Adeniji Sakiru 32 years old was apprehended. ELECTION VIOLENCE ROCKS LAGOS AS THUGS INVADE POLLING UNIT, CHASE AWAY VOTERS AND PARTY AGENTS.

Thugs invaded the Adejare Polling Unit in Ilasa, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, on March 18, 2023, disrupting the governorship and state assembly election. The attackers, suspected to be affiliated with the opposition party, wielded daggers and sharp objects, forcing voters to flee. According to Arome Solomon, an eyewitness, INEC officials were nowhere to be found as of 10:12 am, only few policemen were on ground leaving voters stranded and vulnerable to the thugs. "Policemen on ground were few. The people have all run away and are not willing to return, even the policemen too run away" he added. Ogun Police Rescues Kidnapped Journalist.

  Operatives of Ogun State Police Command on the 11th of March 2023 rescued a journalist, Oduneye Olusegun, who was kidnapped by some gunmen at Mobalufon area of Ijebu Ode on the 9th of March 2023. The journalist, who was coming from Abeokuta was kidnapped at Mobalufon area in his Toyota Camry car at about 7:50 pm on Thursday 9th of March 2023. The abductors later called his wife through the victim's phone the following morning and demanded for #30million as ransome.  Upon the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Frank Mba directed the DPO Obalende divisional headquarters, SP Murphy Salami, whose jurisdiction the incident happened to ensure the safe rescue of the victim.  In compliance with the CP's directive, the DPO mobilized his detectives and embarked on technical and intelligence based investigation of the incident.  Their efforts paid off when the Toyota Camry of the victim was traced to Idimu area of Lagos, where the kidnappers were hibernating waiting for t...

Five Suspected Ritualist Arrested In Ogun.

Men of Ogun State Police Command on Saturday 11th of March 2023, arrested five members of a ritualist gang who have been exhuming corpses from their graves and removing parts of their bodies for ritual purpose.  The suspects; Oshole Fayemi, 60, Osemi Adesanya 39, Ismaila Seidu 30, Oseni Oluwasegun 69 and Lawal Olaiya 50 were arrested, following an information received by the Police at Odogbolu divisional headquarters, that the gang who are responsible for series of corpse exhumation within Ososa community were planning somewhere within the town to carry out another round of human parts harvest.  Upon the information, the DPO Odogbolu division, CSP Godwin Idehai, mobilized his men and stormed the suspects' hideout where five of them were apprehended.  On interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements that they were actually into the business of exhuming corpses from their graves, and that they used to sell parts of such corpse to their standby buyers who need it ...
