Ota-Awori Youths Demand Reps Seat for Ota in 2027, Endorse Larrybash

  The Ota Awori Youth Movement has called for the House of Representatives seat in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency to be ceded to the Ota axis in 2027, citing a long-standing imbalance in political representation. The group made the demand on Thursday at a press conference held at Ijamido Town Hall Ota, accusing political stakeholders of abandoning an unwritten rotational arrangement between Ota and Ado/Igbesa state constituencies. According to the youths, Ota has produced a federal lawmaker only twice since 1999, while Ado/Igbesa has held the seat for most of the past 28 years, despite Ota having a larger population and voter strength.
