I am a Chosen: CAN fumes over exam malpractice testimony

The viral video of a suspected member of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry in Lagos has sparked outrage after the woman celebrated receiving divine assistance during a Federal Government examination and how she shared her answers with another candidate. During the testimony, the unnamed member claimed an old man appeared to her in the examination hall and gave her answers to some questions. The woman said the exercise was one of the promotional examinations of the military (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and that there were about 50 questions, of which 40 bordered on career and 10 related to current affairs. “We all had written our career questions. It then came to these very 10 questions, which asked, ‘Mention 10 Francophone countries and their capitals.’ “Brethren, nobody knew this question. So, all I did was to raise the question paper and declare to it: ‘I am a Chosen! I am a chosen!! I am a chosen!!! This question, who are you? Where is the God of my pastor power?’ “The

Security personnel foiled an assassination attempt by armed men suspected to be political thugs on a federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Henry Okojie. Okojie’s media aide, Michael Ihaza, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, saying that Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked at his residence by gunmen in a Lexus GX 470 carrying a Rivers State vehicle registration number – PHC 253 FF.   The Nigeria Police Force has highlighted the potential benefits of the Electronic Central Motor Registry innovation aimed at revolutionising how vehicle information is verified and handled on the road. The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared the development through a series of social media posts on Thursday, highlighting the ease and efficiency of the “e-policing” innovation. Adejobi said under the leadership of Inspector-General Olukayode Egbetokun, the Electronic Central Motor Registry system has been launched to make roads safer and the policing process smoother. The FPRO said this new system allows vehicle owners to register their vehicles digitally and provides a quick response for emergencies. “If your vehicle is registered with the NPF E-CMR and gets stolen, you can instantly flag it as stolen through your online profile,” the statement read. He said the system then alerts all field officers nationwide within seconds, improving the chances of swift recove

"We are shocked and disappointed at the quality of work being done on this project," said Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, a resident of Ota. "The drainage system being put in place is not only substandard but also poses a risk to our safety and well-being." Other residents who spoke to our correspondent expressed similar sentiments, lamenting the fact that Laralek seems to be more interested in making a quick profit than in delivering a quality project. In contrast, the quality of work do
