Man 36 Arrested For Trafficking His Wife And Selling His Two Year Old Son

  A 36 years old man Kingsley Essien has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for trafficking his wife to Mali for prostitution and subsequently sold her 2 year old son at the rate of #600,000. The suspect was arrested following the report lodged at Agbara divisional headquarters by the suspect's wife, Bright Essien, who reported that sometime in October 2021, her husband, Kingsley Essien, informed her that he had secured a job for her in Bamako Mali, and that he has assisted many people to that country for greener pastures before. She explained further that been her husband, she didn't suspect any foul play until she got to Mali only to discover that she has been sold to human trafficker cartel headed by a woman at the rate of One million four hundred thousand naira. Police Arrest Robbery Suspect On His Way To Operation In Onipanu Ota.

  A 27 years old armed robbery suspect Sodiq Oladele was on Sunday 15th of May 2022 arrested by operatives of Ogun state police command while on his way to carry out robbery operation with other members of his gang. The suspect was arrested at Obasanjo farm junction ota while the DPO Onipanu Ota division, CSP Bamidele Job and his men were on routine patrol of the area and sighted a motorcycle conveying three male passengers. The motorcycle was flagged down but the passengers quickly jumped down and ran to different direction. They were hotly chased by the policemen and one of them Sodiq Oladele who was in possession of a black bag was apprehended while others escaped.   A 26 years old armed robbery suspect, Segun Azeez was on 12th of May 2022 arrested by men of Ogun state police command while planning for robbery operation with others who are now at large. The suspect was arrested following an information received by policemen at Sango ota divisional headquarters that armed robbers were planning to attack Agoro community of Sango ota.. Upon the information, the DPO Sango ota division, SP Saleh Dahiru quickly moblised his patrol team and moved to the suspects hideout at Abanikole junction where the suspect was arrested while others escaped. One of this deceitful act came to the limelight when Hon Jimoh Ojugbele listed giving some youths a sum of #200,000 as one of his giant stride achievements for the twelve years already spent at the green chambers.   As the Ogun 2023 governorship election approaches, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, has obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Akinlade, a 2019 governorship candidate, said he purchased the forms on Friday to contest for the ticket of the party with other aspirants.   World soccer ruling body, FIFA, has imposed a 150,000 Swiss Franc (about 154,128.75 USD) fine on Nigeria following the unruly behaviour of the fans at the end of the second leg Qatar 2022 World Cup play-off between the Super Eagles and Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on March 29. There was reported break of law and order after the ill-fated 1-1 draw encounter as the Black Stars edged Nigeria out of the Qatar 2022 race on the away goals rule. In a dispatch by FIFA, the body ’s Disciplinary Committee decried the poor organisation of the match for lack of order and security at the match, adding there was ‘failure to implement existing safety rules and failure to ensure that law and order are maintained in the stadium, invasion of the field of play and throwing of objects’. Apart from the 150,000 CHF fine, Nigeria will play its next home match without fans.

Ogun Police Arrests Four Suspected Cultists, Muderer.

  In continuation of Ogun state police command war on cultism and other vices, the operatives of the command, on Sunday 1st of May 2022 arrested four members of the dreaded Aiye cult group, who are responsible for the killing of one Segun Onifade on the 20th of April 2022. The suspects, who have been on the wanted list of the command since then  were arrested following an information received by policemen at Ilaro divisional headquarters that the suspects were holding a nocturnal meeting at a hideout behind Eleja Primary school, Igbo_ ewe area of Ilaro.   Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has greeted Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri, which signifies the end of fasting in the holy of Ramadan. Governor Abiodun, who noted that fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islamic faith, felicitated Muslims in the state for seeing the end of 29 days of spiritual exercise. The governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Saturday, however, enjoined the Muslim faithful to continue to hold on to the piety and spiritual elevation attained during the fasting. He noted that though the country is passing through some challenges, Muslims deserve to celebrate the end of the month of mercy and forgiveness.
