Ogun Police Command Arrests Three For Impersonation.

  Men of Ogun state police command on 23rd of June 2021 arrested two men who impersonated to be police officers in Ibogun town Ifo local government area of Ogun state.  The suspects, Tajudeen Bankole, Fawoyi Rotimi  were arrested following a distress call received from one Ibikunle Idowu that the two men came to his hotel, presented themselves as police officers and demanding for an unspecified amount of money from him. TWO NOTORIOUS CULTISTS ARRESTED DURING SUPREMACY BATTLE.

  Two members of notorious cult group, Jamiu Okanlawon 20yrs and Oluwaseun Owoeye 30yrs were on Sunday 27th of June 2021 arrested, while engaging a rival cult group in supremacy battle, at Orelope area of Ilogbo ota, in Ado odo ota local government area of Ogun state.  The suspects were arrested, following a distress call received by the Dpo Onipanu division, CSP Bamidele Job, that the cultists are on rampage, thereby making life difficult for innocent members of the public.  Upon the distress call, the Dpo mobilized his men, in collaboration with local vigilante and stormed the scene. Three Tricycle Operators Arrested For Stealing 300 Bags Of Cement

Three tricycle drivers; Lawal Bidemi AbdulRaheem, Olalekan Azeez and Opeloyeru Kayode have been arrested for conspiring together to steal 300 bags of  cement from warehouse of  Sandtrust quarry company.  The suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Awa ijebu divisional headquarters, by a staff of the company, who reported that, he saw some people in a bush very close to the quarry loading cement into their tricycles. He reported further that the cements is suspected to have been stolen from the warehouse of their company.  Upon the report, the Dpo Awa ijebu division, Csp Adewalehinmi Joshua, mobilized his patrol team and moved to the scene. In the said write up, the writer wrote that some Fulani herders invaded St. John's Anglican Primary School Agodo, Ogun state and turned the school into pool of the blood of innocent, little kids. ROBBERS NABBED IN ACCIDENT SCENE WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE WITH SNATCHED VEHICLE.

  Three armed robbery suspects, were on Sunday 19th of June 2021, arrested by men of Ogun state police command when they were involved in a ghastly motor accident, while escaping with a Toyota Camry car which they snatched at gunpoint somewhere in Ondo state.  The suspects were coming from Ondo state, heading towards Lagos, but on getting to a point at ode remo, due to dangerous driving, the vehicle hit a culvert and somersaulted.  The three occupants, sustained varying degrees of injuries and they were rushed to hospital by the policemen from Ode Remo divisional headquarters.  While in the hospital, the Dpo ode remo division, csp Fasogbon Olayemi received an information that, the vehicle in question was snatched at gunpoint by the accident victims.  Having received the information, the Dpo quickly ordered that they should be placed under arrest right in the hospital.  The owner of the vehicle who came all the way from Ondo state, explained that, he was accosted on the road by a gang o

Men of Ogun state police command, on Sunday 20th of June 2021 arrested one Adesina Adebowale for forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 60 years old woman (name withheld) . The suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged at Idanyin divisional headquarters by the son of the victim, who came with his mother to the station and reported that at about 4p.m. of the said day, while his 60 years old mother was in her apartment, the suspect broke into the apartment, and had sex with her forcefully.  Upon the report, the Dpo Idanyin division, CSP Olayinka Kuye, detailed his detectives to go after the suspect. POLICE ARREST THREE FOR LAND GRABBING, ROBBERY IN OGUN.

Men of Ogun state police command had on 18th of June 2021 arrested three suspected land grabber at Itusokun quarter in Odogbolu area of the state.  The suspects were arrested, following a report lodged at Odogbolu divisional headquarters by one Kemi Olukoya, who reported that while she was at her new site supervising construction workers, when a group of boys numbering about eight invaded the site, and started shooting sporadically and chased the workers out of the site. Bua Denies Increase in price of Cement, Frowns At Cartel- Like Operation To Determine Product Prices

       The BUA group has denied increase in the price of it’s cement. The clarification came as a result of requests from customers as well as distributors who have been calling to find out whether, like DANGOTE Cement BUA had also increased its own price by 260 Naira. In a signed statement released this afternoon, the BUA group insists that it stands by its earlier decision not to increase cement price which was communicated on April 24, 2021. According to the management of BUA, they are aware that Dangote decided to increase the price of it’s cement by 260 NAIRA from June 14, 2021. The management also noted that even though there had been decline in cement demand due to commencement of rainy season, any further increase in price will disrupt, the normalisation or stabilisation  of prices.   Gospel songbird, Tope Alabi, has made a U-turn over her remarks on the wave making gospel track ‘Oniduro Mi’ by Adeyinka Alaseyori. For almost a week now, Tope Alabi has come under heavy criticisms over what many observers considered remarks borne out of ‘envy.’ Gospel stars- Adeyinka Alaseyori and Tolu Adelegan had at different times released the two similar songs ‘Oniduro Mi’ to exalt and glorify God as well as acknowledge Him as a guarantor or support system. However, Tope Alabi dismissed the song – Oniduro mi,’ as not being inspired of the Holy Spirit. In a viral video, Alabi noted that God was more than an ‘Oniduro’ and said that she would never sing the song. BREAKING: COURT RETURNS BABA IJESHA TO POLICE CUSTODY, CASE TO BE HEARD IN HIGH COURT

Report reaching Daily Advocate news is that the popular Yoruba comedian Lanre Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha today appeared in court over allegations of molesting a minor.  Baba Ijesha who have been in police custody since April 2021 will have to still remain in police custody as the magistrate who presided over the case says the case will be transferred to Lagos State high court for further hearing as the Lagos state government has taken over the case.  The magistrate thereby ordered that Baba Ijesha be remanded in police custody pending the high court hearing and that proper care should be giving to him while in police custody.  More details later....

OGUN CP, PCRC VISIT WOMAN POLICE WHO DELIVERED TRIPLETS.

The commissioner of police Ogun state police command, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, today 16th of June 2021,in company of executive members of Police Community Relations committee (PCRC) visited the Kemta residence of W/Cpl Bolaji Senjirin who recently delivered  a set of triplets.  The commissioner of police, who expressed his gratitude to God Almighty for the safe delivery of the the babies assured the family of his continue support towards the upkeep of the babies since the mother who is an orderly to the cp's wife is regarded as a member of the cp's family.  The Cp also made a cash donation to the babies and prayed that they will live to fulfill their destiny.  In the same vein, the chairman PCRC in the state, Arch. POLICE ARRESTS HOUSE WIFE WHO SOLD DAUGHTERS IN OGUN.

A housewife, Blessing Ebuneku Agoro 35yrs, has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for selling her two biological daughters; Semilore Agoro 4yrs and Deborah Agoro 2yrs. The suspect was arrested, following a report lodged at Redeemed Camp divisional headquarters by her husband, Oluwaseyi Agoro, who reported that, he travelled for some time, and when he returned on the 8th of June 2021, he couldn't find his two daughters. He stated further that all efforts to make his wife tell him the whereabout of the children proved abortive, hence his report. The attention of Ogun state police command has been drawn to a video circulating on social media where a police station was attacked by hoodlums. The said police station is being erroneously identified as Ogijo divisional headquarters in Ogun state.  For the purpose of clarity, the unfortunate incident did not happened in Ogun state, Ogijo police station is intact and not under any form of attack. The circulating video was a robbery incident that happened in Osun state where a bank and a police station was attacked by armed robbers. The command hereby advises members of the public to disregard the information that the incident happened in Ogijo, as such never happened anywhere in Ogun state.  The photographs of Ogijo divisional headquarters as at this morning 8th of June 2021 is hereby attached to this release to clear all doubts.

ONE MORE KIDNAPPER DIED OF BULLET WOUND IN THE BUSH, ANOTHER ONE ARRESTED

  Following a gun battle between men of Ogun state police command and a group of kidnappers, who abducted a Tipper driver on Friday afternoon at Mologede area of Odeda local government, as a result of which one of the kidnappers was shot dead while others escaped with varying degrees of gunshot injuries, one of the kidnappers who escaped with bullets wound has been found dead in the bush, while another one was arrested.  It will be recalled that a Tipper driver was abducted on Friday at Mologede village, following which the Dpo Bode Olude division, DSP Durojaye Rotimi, mobilized his men in conjunction with other security men to the scene,  where the hoodlums engaged them in fierce gun battle as a result of which one the hoodlums was shot dead and the victim rescued. SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER SHOT DEAD IN OGUN, VICTIM RESCUED.

A suspected kidnapper, was on Friday 4th of June 2021 shot dead in Mologede area of Odeda local government  Abeokuta Ogun state.  This followed a distress call received by the Dpo Bode Olude divisional headquarters at about 12 noon, that a tipper driver has been kidnapped by a group of people suspected to be herdsmen. Upon the distress call, the Dpo Bode Olude division DSP Durojaye Rotimi, mobilized his men, the local hunters, men of so safe corps as well as policemen from adjoining police stations and moved to the area. While combing the bush, the kidnappers were sighted in the forest where they engaged the policemen in gun battle. In the process, one of the kidnappers was shot on the leg, while others escaped with various degrees of gunshot injuries, while the victim was rescued unhurt. Operatives of Ogun state police command on Sunday 6th of June 2021, arrested four men for stealing an MTN mast generator in Sango ota. The suspects, Clement Idenyi 42yrs, Orogade Olalere 41yrs, Ademola Adekunle 53yrs and Tunde Adewale were arrested following an information received by the DPO Sango ota divisional headquarters, that the gang have concluded plan to break into and steal the ( FG Wilson) generator providing power to the MTN mast, located at No7, Akintunde street  Oando Ijoko Ota.  On the strength of the information, the DPO Sango ota division, CSP Godwin Idehai, detailed his surveillance team to cordone off and monitor the area. A former staff of Owoyemi Super store, located at Idiroko road area of Sango ota in Ado odo ota local government area of Ogun State, has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command, for bugling his former employer's office. The suspect, 28yrs old Ola Adeoye, was arrested following a distress call received at Sango ota divisional headquarters at about 1:45 am,  that the store has been broken into . TWO ARRESTED IN OGUN WHILE ESCAPING WITH A CAR THEY ROBBED IN LAGOS.

Two suspected armed robbers were on the early hours of Tuesday 1st of June 2021, arrested by men of Ogun state police command, while escaping with a vehicle they robbed in Lagos.  The suspects, Raymond Chukwudi and Ekene Okoro were arrested by men of Federal Highway Patrol at Ajebandele, a boundary between Ogun and Ondo state while on stop and search. POLICE GOES TOUGH AGAINST UNREGISTERED MOTORCYCLES IN OGUN, IMPOUNDS OVER 70 MOTORCYCLES.

Having realized the involvement of riders of unregistered motorcycles  in disorderly behavior and wanton destruction of properties by okada riders, the Ogun state police command, in conjunction with other security agencies has now set up a joint task force to clamp down on the riders of such unregistered motorcycles. The operation which commenced today 2nd of June 2021, in Abeokuta metropolis, is going to be extended to other parts of the state in the coming weeks. According to Ogun state police spokessperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi explained that  the operation was  coordinated by the assistance commissioner of police in charge of operations, ACP Bolanle Muritala, and that no fewer than seventy unregistered motorcycles were impounded by the task force. The impounded motorcycles will not be released until the owner of such motorcycle provided evidence of its registration, and the number plate which must be fixed on the motorcycle.
