The convoy of speedboats took off from Degema jetty at about 8:30am, did a brief stop at Buguma before proceeding to Elem Kalabari, also known as Old Shipping. A landmark lawsuit instituted by Barrister Oladipupo Osinubi has sent shockwaves through the communities of Promise CDA, Indomitable CDA, Model CDA, and Royal Promise CDA in Ogun State. The lawsuit, which also implicates IBEDC, the Honorable Commissioner of the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, Ogun State, and the Attorney General of Ogun State, alleges widespread corrupt practices and abuse of power. At the heart of the lawsuit is Barrister Osinubi's own experience with the communities. He alleges that he was asked to pay a hefty fee for the repair of a transformer that was not even located in his community. When he questioned why he had to pay for the repair of the transformer, his queries were met with silence. But that was not the only issue.
