MAN IN POLICE NET FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING SHOP SEEKING WOMAN IN OGUN.

  A 42 year old man, John Daniel, was on Sunday 30th of May 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a 30 years old lady.  The suspect was arrested, following a complaint lodged at Sango ota divisional headquarters by the victim (name withheld), who reported that she went in search of a shop to rent for her business at about 6 pm, when she met the suspect, who told her that he has a container kept in his care by somebody, which she can use as a shop. The suspect, there and then asked her to follow him to where the container is, on getting to his house, the suspect asked the victim to sit down inside his living room, for him to call the owner of the container.  But, surprisingly, the suspect suddenly locked the door, and brought out a screwdriver and a bottle with which he threatened her to undressed. POLICE ARREST SIX RAIL VANDALS IN OGUN.

  Six men were on Sunday 30th of May 2021 arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for vandalizing railway lane at Oteyi area of Ibogun in Ifo local government area of Ogun State. The suspects, Taiwo Ismaila, Egbekunle Abiodun, Abdullah Sanni, Nuru Ibrahim, Wasiu Aweda and Babatunde Sikiru were arrested following an information received by the the DPO Ibogun division that vandals were removing some rods along the rail lane. Upon the information, the DPO, CSP Samuel Oladele led his men to the scene where the six suspects were promptly apprehended. Recovered from them are; 27 rail iron rods, 2 burning touch with hose, 6long cylinders, 3short cylinders and one intercolder Volvo Truck with registration number SMK 61 XY  Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.

FOUR LAND GRABBERS ARRESTED FOR UNLEASHING VIOLENCE ON OGUN COMMUNITY.

  Four suspected notorious land grabber were on Wednesday 26th of May 2021 arrested by men of Ogun state police command, while unleashing violence on the people of Babaode-Onibuku community in Ado odo Ota local government area of Ogun state.  The suspects, Najimu Ojumola 42yrs, Monday Olaleye 25yrs, Kehinde Martins 34yrs and Felix John 27yrs were arrested, following a distress call received by the policemen at Onipanu divisional headquarters, that Babaode-onibuku village was under siege by group of land grabbers, who invaded the village with dangerous weapons, and held  resdents of the community hostage.  Upon the distress call, the Dpo Onipanu division, CSP Bamidele Job, quickly mobilized his men and moved to the scene for rescue operation.  On getting to the scene, the hoodlums launched an attack on the policemen and injured one ASP Tajudeen Adeleke and Inspector Babatunde Olayiwola, but they were later subdued, and two amongst them Najimu Ojumola and Monday O...

  A foremost club in Ota, ‘Iganmode club’, has on Wednesday, honored Faith Odunsi, the ‘Global Mathematics Champion’. In a reception held to celebrate excellence as well as hard work which was put together by one of the leading societies in Ota, Iganmode club, the Global mathematics Champion, Faith Odunsi was described as a ‘Shining Star’ who should be well celebrated by the society. MOWE OFADA, OWODE EGBA ROAD: POLICE ASSURES TRAVELLERS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY DISPELS KIDNAPPING THREAT RUMOR.

The attention of Ogun State Police Command has been drawn to a publication circulating on social media warning people to avoid Mowe/Ofada/Owode-Egba road, as the road according to the false alarm has turned to kidnapper’s den. The Command wishes to State categorically that the information is nothing but a false alarm and a calculated attempt to cause panic in the mind of the people, most especially those living in that axis. The only kidnapping case that has ever been recorded in the area mentioned is that of a woman who was ambushed and abducted in her farm alongside her visitor on the 1st of May 2021. The two abductees have since regained their freedom and some suspects arrested by the Command in connection with the case while others on the run are being trailed. CULT MEMBERS IN SUPREMACY BATTLE, NINE ARRESTED IN OGUN.

Nine members of Eye cult group, were on the 24th of May 2021 arrested in Ajegunle area of Ibogun during a supremacy battle between them and members of Alora confraternity.  The suspects; Sodiq Olabisi, Oluwatosin Andrew, Oladimeji Oyedele, Wasiu Raheem, Oyedokun Lekan, Yusuf Ajetunmobi, Busari Taoreed, Bolaji Raphael and Salami Toheeb were arrested following a bloody clash between the two groups.  While the clash was going on, distress call was made to the police divisional headquarters in Ibogun, and the DPO, CSP Samuel Oladele quickly led his men to the scene. PROTEST ROCKS OTA AS DAPO ABIODUN COMMISSIONS NAVY IKOLA ROAD.

 Some youths in Ado Ota Local Government are presently mounting road block on the ever busy winners Idi - Iroko road in what seems to a protest which they tagged End Sars phase II.  Though the motives of the protesters is yet unknown, the protest is coming at a time when the governor of Ogun state Dapo Abiodun is commissioning the recently reconstructed Navy Ikola road in Ado Odo Ota local government.  As at time of filling this report, The Daily Advocate News can authoritatively report that joint security efforts is ongoing to disperses the protesting youths as commuters are finding it difficult to have their way.  More details in our subsequent bulletin.
