Ogun Police Rescues Kidnapped Journalist.

  Operatives of Ogun State Police Command on the 11th of March 2023 rescued a journalist, Oduneye Olusegun, who was kidnapped by some gunmen at Mobalufon area of Ijebu Ode on the 9th of March 2023. The journalist, who was coming from Abeokuta was kidnapped at Mobalufon area in his Toyota Camry car at about 7:50 pm on Thursday 9th of March 2023. The abductors later called his wife through the victim's phone the following morning and demanded for #30million as ransome.  Upon the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Frank Mba directed the DPO Obalende divisional headquarters, SP Murphy Salami, whose jurisdiction the incident happened to ensure the safe rescue of the victim.  In compliance with the CP's directive, the DPO mobilized his detectives and embarked on technical and intelligence based investigation of the incident.  Their efforts paid off when the Toyota Camry of the victim was traced to Idimu area of Lagos, where the kidnappers were hibernating waiting for the ransome.

Five Suspected Ritualist Arrested In Ogun.

Men of Ogun State Police Command on Saturday 11th of March 2023, arrested five members of a ritualist gang who have been exhuming corpses from their graves and removing parts of their bodies for ritual purpose.  The suspects; Oshole Fayemi, 60, Osemi Adesanya 39, Ismaila Seidu 30, Oseni Oluwasegun 69 and Lawal Olaiya 50 were arrested, following an information received by the Police at Odogbolu divisional headquarters, that the gang who are responsible for series of corpse exhumation within Ososa community were planning somewhere within the town to carry out another round of human parts harvest.  Upon the information, the DPO Odogbolu division, CSP Godwin Idehai, mobilized his men and stormed the suspects' hideout where five of them were apprehended.  On interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements that they were actually into the business of exhuming corpses from their graves, and that they used to sell parts of such corpse to their standby buyers who need it for money

45 Year Old Man Arrested For Contributory Negligence To The Death Of A 3 Year Old Girl.

  Men of Ogun State Police Command on Friday 10th of March 2023 arrested a 45-year old  Semiu Adegesin whose contributory negligence led to the death of a 3-year old girl Esther Samuel.  The suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Imasayi Divisional Headquarters that a 13-year old boy, Ope Babalola shot and killed the deceased with a dane gun at Kukudi Village, Imasayi.  Upon the information, the DPO Imasayi division, SP Arowojeun Michael, quickly led his detectives to the scene where the deceased was met in the pool of her own blood.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect Semiu Adegesin loaded his dane gun, and carelessly kept it in an open place at the backyard of the house where children used to play. It was there the 13-year old Ope Babalola picked the loaded gun, pointed it at the deceased and pulled the trigger. The deceased was quickly taken to General Hospital Ilaro, where she was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty. The owner of the dane gun was prompt
